- EXEC-PC would be nice if you like them, or if you find a problem.
-
- These are powerful programs, most of which I use routinely in analyzing
- data from biomedical experiments in the field of teratology (birth
- defects). If you have use for occasional or even routine statistical
- analysis of data, you will probably find them quite useful.
-
- GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

- description is shown below; a complete description of each is included in
- separate DOC files for each program. To run the program, simply type the
- name of the program as shown below:
-
- 1. CUREALL . . . . . general statistics; mean, std dev, + much more
- 2. LONG-T . . . . . standard T-test
- 3. SHORT-T . . . . . T-test when mean, std dev and N are known
- 4. PAIRED-T . . . . . paired T-test
- 5. CHI-SQ . . . . . standard Chi-square test
- 6. STURANGE . . . . . studentized range test
- 7. REGRESS . . . . . linear regression (least squares)
- 8. MULTREGR . . . . . multiple regression analysis
- 9. MANNWHIT . . . . . Mann-Whitney U test (non-parametric)
- 10. TEMPCONV . . . . . converts temperatures from any scale
-
- - Every statistical program includes provisions for entering the data
- from a datafile, created in the NON-DOCUMENT mode of WordStar. This
- reduces the possiblity of error in entering data, and gives a
- printable record of the exact data that was input to the program. The
- format of the datafile is documented within each DOC file.
-
- - Calculation of exact P-value or tables have been incorporated into
- several of the programs, and conclusive significance statements are
- printed in the output.
-
- - A a matrix is printed on the screen and is filled as you enter the
- data. This makes input easier to read as you enter numbers, reduces
- the chances for error.
